  • Whats in the rings?

All the rings we create contain different types of material but most contain a synthetic opal for the reason opal produces many vibrant colors that strike abundantly at different angles. The other main material we use to fill in the inlay are different types of mica powders to create colored and detailed backgrounds for the stones. The rings themselves are tungsten-carbide, titanium, stainless steel, or ceramics. I am working on being able to cast solid gold & sterling silver cores.

It should be noted we use synthetic opal. Our reason for synthetic over natural opal is mainly to cut down the costs for our end and you, the customer as well as get the uv-stable nature provided by synthetic opal.

  • Can you take custom materials?

Yes, we are able to accept materials to use meaning your own pieces of gems and powders. This includes the ashes of family members or pets for those looking for something quite memorable. Incompatible materials to this acceptance are liquids and any kind of hazardous material. If you're second guessing if you're even able to ship it, it most likely is not shippable (ashes can be shipped with under certain rules). As this would mean custom work, reach out to me in order to further coordinate the process of ensuring I know what I will be and receiving said item(s).

  • What's the best way to get in contact for a ring?

Via the contact form above our FAQ section where you're at or reaching me via email. Alternatively you can message my email raleigh@ralsworkshop.com

(you might get a slightly faster response at your price of going out of the way to email), add a brief subject title on what you are reaching me for whether its a request to order, use of personal material, consultation or simple inquiries and questions. Both methods I will try to respond to as soon as possible regardless of form)

  • I have something I want done that you might have the tools to do that I don't. Can you?

Although I don't typically offer special services to do stuff out of our norm, feel free to contact me in regards to whatever idea it is you have. I'm always welcome to ideas and can provide for a quote if its something I'd be able to perform for you. I have equipment to laser engrave items on a variety of materials and make custom shirts or accessory. Ultimately, RalsWorkshop was created to fulfill this purpose to a point. Please reach out via the form above the FAQ or reaching my email raleigh@ralsworkshop.com

  • What type of ring is right for me?

The metal or ceramic used for the ring blank is important to understand as not every ring blank is equal. If you want a sturdy feeling, near-impossible to break ring or scratch, Tungsten-Carbide should be your consideration and is mine. Tungsten's only drawback is that it has a weight to it some folks may not want and poses a large hazard with machinery/injury. Should you injure your finger & expect swelling, take your tungsten ring(s) off immediately! Titanium is also durable and on the contrary incredibly lightweight meaning you won't feel a thing wearing it. Titanium however can be scratched up. Stainless steel shares a similar description. Lastly, ceramic is a wonderful material for fashion with its dark color, light-weight & scratch resistantance. As you would expect of a ceramic material, it can break & shatter until force making it a no-go for daily wearers that may use their hands to work.

  • How long will it take to receive my ring?

Once I have an order, I will work to fulfill it as soon as possible. Almost no stock of already-made rings are kept due to the rather custom-nature of my work. The lead-time to having a ring order ship out is within a week to a max of 2 weeks. Items with stock can ship out within a day or two of the order. NOTE: Orders are shipped complete. Please order stock items separately to receive them quicker from custom or non-stock items.
